Privacy

Grid Gone Dark has no accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. Anything you type or tick stays in your own browser and is never sent to us.

What is stored, and where

When you tick an item, fill in the Family Code or add details on the Your household page, the site saves them in your browser’s local storage on your own device. Your light or dark theme choice is saved the same way. None of it is sent to a server, and nobody else can see it, including us.

  • Your ticks and details don’t move between devices, and a link you share always opens blank for the other person.
  • Anyone who uses the same browser on the same device can see them.
  • Clearing your browser’s data for this site deletes them, and the “Clear ticks” button on each checklist resets that list.
  • Never enter PINs, passwords or wallet recovery phrases anywhere on the site.

Cookies

The site sets no cookies, and there are no analytics, adverts, social media widgets or third-party trackers. That is why there is no cookie banner. The browser storage described above is only used for features you choose to use.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse, and keeps it in server logs for a limited time. See Netlify’s privacy policy for how it handles that data. The fonts are served from the site itself, so your browser doesn’t contact Google Fonts.

Links to other sites

The checklists link to shops and official sources. Once you follow a link you are on another site with its own privacy policy and cookies.

Changes

If the site ever adds analytics, cookies or anything else that collects information, this page will be updated first, and the date below will change.
